2. What Data We Collect and Why

Contact enquiries

When you contact us by phone, email or via the Calendly booking link, we process the personal data you provide (name, email address, phone number, company, and the content of your message) for the purpose of responding to your enquiry and initiating a potential business relationship. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries).

Server log files

When you visit this website, our hosting provider automatically collects and stores information in server log files, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, and date and time of the request. This data is used solely for technical operation and security. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Log files are retained for a maximum of 30 days.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies to operate this website and, with your consent, to analyse usage and run advertising campaigns. Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We distinguish between:

  • Essential cookies — necessary for the website to function. No consent required. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
  • Analytics cookies — used to understand how visitors interact with the site (e.g. pages visited, time spent, traffic source). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).
  • Advertising cookies — used to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns and to show relevant ads. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).

You can grant or withdraw your consent at any time via the Cookie Settings link in the footer of this page. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

3. Third-Party Services

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google"). Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information about how visitors use the website, including pages visited, time spent on pages, and traffic sources. This information is transmitted to and stored on Google servers, which may be located in the United States.

We have enabled IP anonymisation (IP masking) so that your IP address is truncated within the EU before transmission to Google. The full IP address is only transferred to a Google server in the USA in exceptional cases and truncated there.

Google will use this information on our behalf to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity and provide other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf.

Google Analytics is only activated with your prior consent. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time via the Cookie Settings link in the footer. You can also prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Data transfers to the USA are based on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (adequacy decision of the European Commission of 10 July 2023). Google LLC is certified under this framework. For further information, see Google's Privacy Policy and Google Analytics data safeguarding information.

Google Ads and Conversion Tracking

This website uses Google Ads, an online advertising service provided by Google Ireland Limited. When you click on one of our Google ads, a conversion tracking cookie is placed on your device. These cookies expire after 30 days and do not contain any personally identifiable information. If you visit certain pages of this website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognise that you clicked on the ad and were redirected to this page.

Each Google Ads customer receives a different cookie, so cookies cannot be tracked across Google Ads customers' websites. The information collected using conversion cookies is used to generate conversion statistics — i.e. the total number of users who clicked on our ad and were redirected to a conversion tracking tag page. We do not receive any information that could be used to personally identify users.

Google Ads conversion tracking is only activated with your prior consent. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can prevent participation in this tracking procedure by declining cookies via the Cookie Settings link in the footer, or by setting your browser to block cookies from the domain "googleadservices.com". You can also opt out via Google's ad settings.

Data transfers to the USA are based on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. For further information, see Google's Privacy Policy.

Google Signals and Remarketing

If you are signed in to a Google account and have activated personalised ads in your Google account settings, Google may link your visit to this website with your Google account and use this information to show you personalised ads across devices. You can opt out of this in your Google account settings.

Google Tag Manager

This website uses Google Tag Manager (Google Ireland Limited) to manage tracking scripts. Google Tag Manager itself does not set cookies or process personal data; it only triggers other tags which may do so. Google Tag Manager is subject to Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

Calendly

We use Calendly (Calendly LLC, Atlanta, USA) to manage meeting bookings. When you book a call via Calendly, your data (name, email address, meeting details) is processed by Calendly. Calendly is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Please refer to Calendly's privacy policy at calendly.com/privacy.

Google Fonts

This website uses the typeface Plus Jakarta Sans, designed by Tokotype. The font files are self-hosted on our own web server. When you load a page, your browser fetches the font files directly from our server — no request is made to Google's servers or any other third party. No personal data is transferred to Google in connection with the display of typefaces on this website.

LinkedIn Insight Tag and LinkedIn Ads

This website uses the LinkedIn Insight Tag, a JavaScript code snippet provided by LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland. The Insight Tag enables the collection of data regarding visits to this website by LinkedIn members, including URL, referrer URL, IP address (truncated), device and browser properties, and timestamp. This data is encrypted, anonymised within seven days, and anonymised data is deleted within 90 days.

LinkedIn uses this data to provide us with aggregated website analytics and to enable us to measure the performance of LinkedIn advertising campaigns (conversion tracking) and to retarget website visitors with personalised ads on LinkedIn (remarketing).

LinkedIn members can control the use of their personal data for advertising purposes in their LinkedIn account settings. Non-members can opt out at the same link.

The LinkedIn Insight Tag is only activated with your prior consent. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time via the Cookie Settings link in the footer. Data transfers outside the EU are carried out on the basis of standard contractual clauses. For further information, see LinkedIn's Privacy Policy.

4. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by law. Enquiry data is retained for up to three years unless a business relationship develops, in which case statutory retention periods under German commercial and tax law apply (up to ten years).

Analytics and advertising data processed via Google services is retained in accordance with Google's data retention settings, which we have configured to the shortest available period (14 months for Google Analytics user and event data).

5. Your Rights

Under GDPR, you have the following rights:

  • Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR) — you may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR) — you may request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) — you may request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention obligations.
  • Right to restriction (Art. 18 GDPR) — you may request that we restrict processing of your data.
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR) — you may request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR) — you may object to processing based on legitimate interest.
  • Right to withdraw consent (Art. 7(3) GDPR) — where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at [email protected].
